Admittedly I found this quite lovely, which probably makes me a hypocrite. Some of the books do look as if they've been read, so maybe that's what makes it appealing. One of my personal favorite book-design-y images can be found at the link below. These books/magazines are almost certainly used, and the image is all the more charming for its natural-looking haphazardness.

Ugh. That's so upsetting. Although I guess it's kind of funny that people will pay $39.00 for a couple books with the covers ripped off.
